Principal Tutors provide one to one home tutors and online tutors for maths, English and science. We cover primary, SATS, 11+, GCSE and A-level. All tutors are degree qualified, experienced and DBS checked.

Price and Range:
Fees start from £25 per hour for online tuition and £29 per hour for home tutors.
There are no tie-ins or contracts or payments upfront, and you only pay for the lessons you have, so you can use the first lesson as a trial.

Principal Tutors is run by a full-time maths and science tutor with 25+ years of teaching experience, having taught in schools, colleges and universities.

We specialise in providing highly experienced tutors and teachers for private one to one tuition in the core subjects of maths, English and science.

We also have a small team of specialist 11+ entrance exam tutors for the Trafford, Manchester and Cheshire areas.

We are a local tuition agency based in south Manchester, so we know the area, the schools and our tutors personally. What does it take to be a Principal Tutor?
We are highly selective about who our tutors are, and like you, we have high expectations of them. Our tutors have a minimum of a university degree and many come with Masters, PhDs, teaching qualifications such as QTS, BEd, Cert.Ed and professional qualifications too.

It is important to us that our tutors are not only experts in their chosen subject, but they are experienced in their current knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

Tutors are also selected based on their effective communication skills and strategies, and their ability to explain what are sometimes complex matters in an easy to understand manner.
