1. Why Should I Advertise My Tutoring Services On Home Tutors Directory ?

No ongoing commision fees, as tutors you set your own rate.

Cost Effective - We advertise our services on this directory and in this academic year (2009) we have recieved sixty five percent of our enquiries from Home Tutors Directory. It has now overtaken enquiries from the Yellow Pages where we also advertise.

High search engine placement for general terms, towns, counties, subjects and levels.

Covers every major town, city, county in the UK.Your advert will be seen 365 days a year, predominantly and consistently, not just for for half the time or even less as in most cases.

Home Tutors Directory is different to free private tutoring sites because it is not overwhelmed with private tutors advertising for the same work in the same area. There are simply more chances of private tutors and tutoring agencies obtaining more private tuition leads from Home Tutors Directory. The ratio of potential clients per advertiser is much greater. Why not take a look at our testimonial page

Does not limit you to advertising in one small area.Home Tutors Directory does not provide postcode searches - we know from experience - this will generate less private tuition leads and means you are competing for potential work in your area, with hundreds of other private tutors on that site, who come up for the same postcode searches as you. The tutors nearest and cheapest will get most of the enquiries.

Your advert will also be seen for many smaller surrounding areas.

Home Tutors Directory is a free searchable private tuition directory for students and parents.Home Tutors Directory do not charge a finders fee to find a tutor like some other organisations. Having to pay to find a tutor will dissuade potential clients in contacting tutors, which can result in less work for the tutor.

We are one of the longest established online private tuition directories in the UK. The idea for Home Tutors Directory was concieved in the Autumn of 2004, and it went live on the internet on 31st March 2005.

Advertisers who pay for twelve months advertising on Home Tutors Directory are currently being listed on subject pages free of charge (Please note a maximum of upto three subject pages for tutors and upto five subject pages for agencies)

If you have advertised on Home Tutors Directory before the 29th July 2009 and you continue to renew your advert(s) without a break in your advertising you will still be listed on all the subject pages regardless of how many you have been listed on before, free of charge.

Home Tutors Directory has an enquiry form for students. As a good will gesture, we put those students in contact with you if they have overlooked any advertisement on Home Tutors Directory or have been directly reffered to us. Because we are long established we recieve many direct hits, as well as very high volumes of traffic from Google and the other major search engines. We are well established on the internet within the tutoring industry, with hundreds of links to long established educational websites, including recommendations from Schoolzone as well as being independently quoted by the National Centre for Social Research in their report "Private Tuition In England". We have also been independently quoted in the TES magazine (Times Educational Supplement).

2. Does Home Tutors Directory Limit Me To Placing My Private Tuition Advert In Just One Area or Town?

The proprietors of Home Tutors Directory have run a full time science private tutoring business for twelve years. From experience we know that the more areas you cover the more tutoring work you get.

If you list your tutoring services on Home Tutors Directory, you will also come up for searches for many surrounding towns in your area. Whilst you may have to politely decline this tuition if you are fully booked up, you will find that your service will become more well known and that some of these enquirers will call back when you are less busy, thus creating a reserve of work.

3. Can Home Tutors Directory Guarantee Me Work?

No.
We are not a tuition agency and are therefore unable to guarantee work. However due to the shift to internet advertising, compared with other forms of media advertising there is a continuously growing volume of potential clients searching for tuition on the internet. Like any other form of advertising we cannot guarantee work, but we are confident that your advert will be seen by many potential clients and students for the duration of your advertising period. We are an advertising platform specialising in private tuition. This is a one stop shop where tutors and agencies are able to advertise their services and where prospective students/ parents can search to find a suitable tutor in their area quickly and easily. The availability of work will depend on a number of factors such as your location, the subjects that you are willing to tutor, the age range and levels of achievement that you wish to cover as well as details such as the price you are going to charge, the times and days you want to work and the distance you are willing to travel.
