Maths is a major component of the national Curriculum and is studied from KS1 upwards. It is a compulsory subject from years 1 -11 where the last examination sat is at the end of year 11 which is GCSE.

The third topic studied for GCSE Maths includes Shape and Space. Shape and space involves the teaching of Loci, angles, circles, 3D shapes, transformations, vectors, construction and mensuration. The forth and final area of GCSE Maths taught in school and colleges is Handling Data. Bar Charts, Cumulative Frequency Pie Charts , Standard deviation and probability attribute to the teaching of Handling data.
